Fitbit has launched a new smartwatch, Fitbit Ace LTE, specifically designed for kids. The watch features LTE connectivity, allowing for calling, messaging, and real-time location sharing without the need for a phone. It also comes with Tamagotchi-like buddy Eejie and wrist-based video games that require exercise goals to access. The big caveat is that it requires a $9.99 monthly or $120 annual subscription for LTE features. Currently, Fitbit is offering 50 percent off an annual subscription, making the combined price of the watch and data plan $260.
