I believe in leading with kindness. But the hardest and therefore most important part of kindness is allowing people to feel their feelings.
Rage can bolster us up and prod us to take action when we need to.
I don't believe in the sort of kindness that silences people who've been harmed. That strikes me as unkind in the extreme.
