I agree and have published similar thoughts on Nostr previously. I think some of it is just organizations chasing money. But I genuinely believe that those really in power want the populace weak and sick. No better way to achieve these ends than to normalize toxic food and make it cheap and easily accessible. A generally unwell population is easier to control and gives access to those in power control over policy direction and resources for them and their caste.
