I find it appalling that anyone would dogear a page in a book. Even if I’ve read a book multiple times it will usually appear unread. Books, to me, are holy relics deserving of respect and awe.
The idea that someone would dogear a library book is simply beyond the pale. It’s a perfect example of the failure of our society to think beyond itself and our own decadent hedonism. It’s the ultimate selfish act.
“Fuck the next person,” it says.
