So apparently snaps have broken application updates.
2 weeks ago Firefox informed me that I had 14 days to close Firefox so the update could take effect.
Since then I have:
* Rebooted a dozen times.
* Closed Firefox and reopened
* Killed Firefox
And still it has a pending update.
