Yeah, tried that, doesn't work.
In the last box with code at https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Howto/Ultimate_Boot_CD_unter_Ubuntu_anpassen/ lines 18, 21, and 23 brought success.
And now I'm reading about boot loaders again, something I haven't done since I switched from lilo to grub. ^^
