Dear jz.tusk at mastodon social: You failed to provide a definable context; there would be no way for a reasonable person to discern with absolute certainty just what you had been referring to within the following statement: "Heavy rains over the next week to cause flooding"?" Is your statement your personal opinion or from an expert meteorologist?
Your statement on it's face contains no context.
I am not encouraging inaction, no ethical journalist would print information that cannot be proven, that would be totally inappropriate and negligent.
If you want to take action against perceived wrongs that is entirely your own personal free choice. How would it be any media organization's implied, inferred or expressed legal obligation to act for third party or parties interests associated either directly or indirectly for any private or public business dealings or political causes.
Your statements seems to suggest that media organizations have entered into an official and formal contractual legal obligation to act for third party or third parties both private and public interests beyond the scope of reporting news.
