Yeah war (industrial military complex), resource interests (which isn't always wrong), and democracy, which morphed into all sorts of horrific ideologies using the same power-platform and methods.
All the NATO expansion stuff aside, Putin was completely justified in the expanse of 'Western values' coming ever closer, and likely already eroding his society. We're finally facing, and having to fight it here here, and look at the consequences!
