Intelligent isn't the same as competent, and I didn't say she was not intelligent. She made an incompetent choice, based on her incentives and perceptions, coupled with language that betrays her lack of investigation. So while she may be quite intelligent, her incompetence based on her lack of applied intelligence shows through her choices.
