#OTD 12 September 1770 Karin Olofsdotter, 68, died from dropsy in Östra Vingåker parish, Södermanland, Sweden. Karin had been married to the soldier Lars Andersson Eckelman for nearly 50 years and they had no children. Lars, about 71, found a 26-year-old bride. Lars and Anna had one child, my 4th-great-grandmother, before Lars died. If Karin had not died before Lars, I would not be here.
