I started the day with a discussion about chatGPT3-4 and quickly moved on to the fusion breakthrough and energy abundance. I was reminded that in the 60s, we built a bunch of nuclear reactors, and the slogan was almost “energy too cheap to meter” until the suites got involved. At some point, energy usage plateaued, and we stopped producing them. The discussion moved toward advanced geothermal energy production, and we basically have a limitless supply of energy underneath us, how the tech could easily evolve to support us etc etc. I am very optimistic, and when fusion becomes scalable, we can use that shit on mars better than the other energy sources. Finally thought, once energy becomes an unlimited abundance we are going to continue using that to make the scarcest shit in the world. Bitcoin.
