Reading this as a longtime Kate Nash fan is disheartening. It paints a very grim picture of the music industry: streaming pays a pittance and the cost of live performances is so high that tours come out at a loss
Even Spotify's claim that they paid out over £500K for Foundations needs to be put in context: that's over 18 years and has to be shared with the publisher, the brunt of which would have been paid out years ago
