Uvalde families are suing Activision claiming that Call of Duty contributed to the factors that shaped the school shooter's frame of mind. It's hard not to see where they're coming from; a disturbed person like that shooter isn't helping himself playing games with realistic depictions of violence.
I don't think videogames turn normal kids into killers, but that's not what's being claimed here. It's about the effect of violent games on unstable teenagers. That to me seems worth discussing.
