SG friend coming to visit: I have ESTA approval
Me who lives here: ... Getting my driving license renewed is for some reason weirdly stressful so I'm gonna use my Malaysian passport (to fly to meet her) which means it will *go great*
Edited to add: it's fine. The usual issue is just that the machines can't read my passport so what they do is they send me back to ticketing, ticketing sends me back with the exact same ticket reprinted, we do this x2 and then they let me through
(They also won't accept my explanation that their machines just read my name in the wrong order. All the words are there)
