Even if he had a good chance of winning, which he doesn’t, I would never vote for Cornell West for president. Not because I think he’s got bad ideas but because he would be a fucking horrible president. I wouldn’t elect him to be mayor of a small town.
Leadership in government isn’t about having the best ideas, or being the smartest guy in the room. It’s about building coalitions that require compromise. It’s terribly unsexy.
You might as well vote for me, which is also, a terrible idea.
