After much consideration, I shut down my Alby (nprofile…qss4) Hub channels, and cancelled my Alby Cloud subscription this afternoon. While Alby Hub is an amazing platform, I just don't conduct enough transactions or volume to justify the subscription fee.
If my Lightning volume increases, I'll consider reestablishing my subscription, but for now I'll be using Aqua Wallet for on-chain and Lightning savings, and Minibits Wallet for Lightning and eCash spending, including zaps. This arrangement provides me with the functionality I need, but without the 10-20k sats per month in fees.
It's been fun, Alby. I wish you well, and recommend you to anyone looking for an inclusive, self-custodial Lightning platform.
