The wipe-without-reboot feature we proposed ended up having a device-independent implementation as part of AOSP they shipped in June 2024. We shipped it earlier, and we extended their implementation with 2 extra redundant forms of wiping material needed to derive the encryption keys.
June patch ended up being entirely in AOSP so other devices can ship it instead of making their own. They didn't consider it could be backported in ASB. We requested it and they did it.
