U.S. Congressmen reintroduce “Venezuelan Adjustment Act” proposal 🇺🇸🇻🇪
Representatives Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Florida), Darren Soto (D-Florida), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Florida) and Frederica Wilson (D-Florida) announced the reintroduction of the Venezuelan Adjustment Act (H.R. 1348), which would adjust the legal status of some Venezuelan citizens to permanent residency in the United States if they meet certain criteria, including entry into the United States before or on December 31, 2021. The referred law was already introduced in June 2023 during Joe Biden's administration and currently could represent an opportunity for thousands of Venezuelans who are in the United States and are seeking alternatives to remain with a legal status in the country.
