Rewatching the original Star Wars trilogy and I'm going to say something ~extremely controversial~
The Galactic Empire design aesthetic reminds me of Apple in that everything seems to have a purpose, clearly thought out, clean, sleek, etc.
The Resistance design aesthetic is very.. Android/Linux, wires hanging from walls, DIY, lots of buttons and thingamajigs…
idk what the deeper implications of this are if any, but I can honestly say The Galactic Empire has a good design eye
