"content": "The most interesting thing I learned this week came from a student in my Law and Economics course. Turns out 38 states have anti-BDS (Wikipedia wisely tells us not to confuse with anti-BDSM) laws that prohibit divestment from a single country, Israel.\n\nThis is largely due to lobbying from the Israel Allies Foundation (IAF).\n\nhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-BDS_laws#Anti-BDS_laws_in_the_United_States\n\nSo, a little ironically, Colorado's public pensions are required to divest from companies that boycott Israel.\n\nhttps://www.denverpost.com/2024/02/27/colorado-legislature-israel-bds-law-pera-elisabeth-epps/\n\n#Politics",
