It was one of the scariest things I've ever been through and I don't care to repeat it.\n\nI love sandals when appropriate, but days like today in SE Michigan are definitely for closed shoes with good traction. Sitting around in hiking shoes isn't my favorite thing to do, but if something happens at least I know I have good footing.",
