It's most likely just a distraction deployed by corporations so they can continue to lobby for ideal tax conditions for themselves, deregulation, the weakening of labor unions, and all funded by the middle class.
Good luck trying to vote for the candidate who supports legislation that benefits your average American laborer. He doesn't exist. There are no candidates who support legislation that benefits your average American laborer.
