Today I called my family doctor to follow up about my acute liver injury caused by my latest biologic medication.
The receptionist: “We can get you in around early October…”
Me: “He knows I’m immune compromised, and as I said, I have a drug induced liver injury, can you please find a way to see me sooner?”
Reception: “one moment while I go ask him…”
Reception (5 mins later): “Can you come in tomorrow?”
