its not so much that as there is an unhealthy monopoly with pioneer CDJs and everyone ultimately buys those *because* the clubs own them *because* an inertial amount of DJs already use them

from what i saw the people doing non-club stuff do tend to have their own things, that's where you'll see denons or a laptop stuck to a much less expensive (but still quite expensive) controller.

hell, people were buying denon's all in ones for vrchat. which is goofy but it is what it is.
