For some reason, the "for you" feed on Threads and the algorithm that runs it REALLY LOVES MY ACCOUNT in the past few days. Most of the posts I've made there in the past week have 10K, 20K, 30K or more views, and in the past 2 days I've gone from around 3,600 followers to nearly 6,000.
I still do not like algorithms. Even if I'm a benefactor.
But at least Threads also has a "following" mode where I can just see posts, in chronological order, from folks I follow, and the hashtags I've subscribed to. As long as it keeps doing that, I'll continue to use Meta's platform, even if I get a bit icky about it.
Because ultimately, my goal isn't likes or follows. It is to spread the gospel that fantastic coffee is achievable by all, no matter your budget. It just takes some work and experimenting.
