I agree about Trump, but I'm more concerned about the conditions that made Trump possible than Trump himself:
The Democratic Party has sold out the working class in favor of giant corporations. They've been breathlessly pro-war since Obama flipped from the anti-war platform he campaigned on. They've attacked free speech relentlessly since 2014. They became bodily autonomy hypocrites with injection mandates. They scream about democracy, but rig their own primaries and work diligently to get third parties knocked off ballots. To me, Trump is a problem that is a reaction to a systemic problem.
None of this is to say Republicans or Trump are particularly better on most of these issues. If they are, it is a matter of opportunism. But it's undeniable that the Democrats have drifted far away from being representative of the working class.
