When hashtags were introduced to Twitter, me and the ex joked that there should be a registration service to work out what some of them meant. I’m still having trouble all these years later, e.g. I don’t know what the heck #37c3 is. It would be good if there was some way to pin definitions of what people are using them for.
The ex did set up some kind of bot iirc where you could tweet # hashtag means x and people could query it somehow, but not many people used it.
