Selen was actually the very first vtuber I ever subscribed to. I only used to see vtubers in small clips back when I had a Twitter account. I thought they were cute and funny and all that, but I remember thinking "eh, it's not really for me, I'm not THAT into anime and I already feel weird enough watching the occasional ASMR video to help me go to sleep".
But then I saw clips of Selen absolutely rocking everyone's shit in apex legends and I was hooked. Somehow it didn't occur to me some of these girls could actually be hardcore gamers in addition to being cute and girly. I plunged headfirst into the rabbit hole after that.
I want the best for the talent behind Selen, she's an extremely hard worker and I don't think I've ever once seen her on stream not in high spirits and high energy. But I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be emotionally shattered if she decided to leave nijisanji. It wouldn't be the same hearing her voice not coming from that long-necked, purple haired dragon tomboy.
