I watched a YouTube video in Japanese (English subtitles) on making this yummy-looking rice dish in the rice cooker, where you sauté the ingredients and then set them in the cooker, layer on the rice, and cook it on the normal rice mode. As if you're just making rice but you snuck in bonus items.
In typical fashion I neglected to check our pantry before I got started so mine looks nothing like the video, but I'm optimistic! :D
