"Disruption," if you want to put it simply, happens when a new entrant is able to re-define an established industry by introducing a novel innovation to address a parallel need that the establishment has historically ignored. The entire world has ignored people shut out from participating in global markets for far too long - and this could be its reckoning. Not saying we need to go full neoliberal/markets solve mentality, but the structural inequities that global finance and capital markets/regulations have created must be broken.
