One of the arguments used by those who want to gut the cash ISA & redirect investments/saving into stocks & shares, is that those using cash ISAs do not understand investing...
Actually, they understand it all too well, and are resisting paying a bunch of toffs, who will patronise them while taking fees for managing funds that may lose their clients some or all of their money....
Not wanting to be ripped off by bankers shows a pretty clear understating of investing in my view!
