I'm extremely frustrated with my retarded nurse practitioner who keeps trying to diagnose me with fibromyalgia for my neck problems from my old injury. Meanwhile, I have two neurologists that have acknowledged my issues from the injury and weren't surprised at all and didn't treat it like it was abnormal. One recommended Botox and the other recommended a nerve block. Neither of those things have anything to do with fibromyalgia. Not to mention an NP is not allowed to diagnose. Something like this should be left to a specialist, a rheumatologist.

Furthermore, there are no tests for fibromyalgia. Women shouldn't be labeled with it before other treatments have been tried because it typically just works as dismissal and leads to lack of treatment. Not to mention the only way I sort of fit a fibromyalgia diagnosis is if you ignore my PCOS and how my neck issues manifest with cervical instability from ligament damage, the facet joint dysfunction and the occupational neuralgia... All of which have been proven with x-ray, MRI and electromyogram and all by actual medical doctors with specialty degrees. Not to mention my issues don't roam around my body, they stay in the same spots and are caused by the same things, i.e. doing too many things and not resting enough or resting and sitting too much.

If it was up to this simpleton I wouldn't even get treatment for my neck that might actually help me. I'm tired of her but stuck. Everyone else who accepts my insurance is the lowest of the low and none of them are MDs. And none of them ever know anything about PCOS. Last time I tried to find a new primary care doctor was just a shit show of crackpots and ignorant assholes. One lady wasn't even an NP, she was just a medical assistant. Somehow they were letting her take patients???? How?
