After 27 years on the internet and 20 on social media, l can say that I think I'm finally starting to grasp the whole "talking to strangers on the internet" thing.
Two people, in two separate occasions, on two different platforms made well-meaning but totally stupid comments in the past two days and... I said nothing. I didn't point out the inanity of their comment nor how it was beside the point.
Not gonna lie, I'm proud of myself. (It still rattles me that they will never know how stupid that was, but baby steps, I guess)
