Today the corona virus hit people to death. Statistics reported were mixed with numbers from the flu. People were spreading the virus even without any symptoms.
In 1518 a deadly dancing virus also emerged in Europe. People were reported dying from a dancing contagion spreading like fire. This is now called the dancing mania.
In 1962 a dangerous laugh (yes, laugh) began to spread in Tanzania. It began in school. Young girls, although normally a healthy segment of the population, were laughing. This was the frightening laughter epidemic. This pandemic of laugh lasted for 18 months. After that people could begin to breath normally. Pain and respiratory illness began to attenuate. This one is called the Tanganyika laughter epidemic and is public knowledge.
