The best thing I ever did for myself was to completely disconnect from my siblings. That happened a LONG time ago, when I was 18 and got the heck outta that house to go to college.
For a lotta years after that, the sibs more or less tortured my parents, who love(d) them unconditionally anyway.
Nowadays, the sibs are being wonderful to my mom (dad died during the torture years) - and they live close to her and she's so so so happy they're not torturing her ...
