We tried uncured sweet potatoes for the first time, and they were just fine. Harvested last week, stored like true potatoes.
Some internet comments warned they'd be mealy.
Ours were fine, so it may be a question of the variety or a storage quirk.
Also got cheap fresh post-Thanksgiving cranberries and made sauce. Oranges + fresh cranberries pureed in the food processor, that's it. No cooking. No sugar, or add sugar to taste.
