Do you write primarily in the same genre you read as a child?
Jules Verne's futuristic phantasms and Karl May's totally made up Native American/Arabian stories were my favorite as a child, so I can say that I stick to that at least to some extent. I never liked to read romance, even not as a teenager or now as a grown-up. But times change, don't they? 😉
