So, re: Anubis, proof of work is suddenly OK now that it’s being used to stop scrapers or whatever? What happened to proof of work being understood as an incredibly wasteful thing especially happening at scale (which it is with Anubis deployed on any website with any considerable traffic)
Also, this is unrelated, but ironic that the developer of Anubis announced it in a blog post with an AI generated header image… being furry doesn’t excuse someone from this shit
