I'm reading "Optimisme zonder hoop" (Optimism without hope) by Tommy Wieringa.
It's a ~90 page essay on how to mentally cope with the times in which we're living, especially regarding the imminent disaster that is climate change.
I bought this booklet because it acknowledges the unprecedented nature of our situation, especially with regard to the scope of the disaster.
Humans have faced challenges before, but never before has the viability of planet Earth to bolster human life been at stake.
