To dev on farcaster you need an eth node or most probably access via some 3rd party api, to post looks like need an invite and you have to periodically pay to keep your ident... But they do have a load of money so they'll be able buy hype for a while. Interesting to see how nostr develops once it starts getting some serious spam. Also the single key to ident might be a problem for some people when they inevitably leak or lose thier keys.
