Usually you can't get anywhere near these dudes. They can run up to 88 kmh (55 mph)! Normally all you ever see of them are white butts disappearing over the nearest hill. And usually they run in herds. This was early spring & for some reason this male was hanging by himself. He seemed perfectly healthy. He eventually thought better of his curiosity & ran off in true pronghorn style. (Antilocapra americana (pronghorn), Gabbs Valley, Nevada.)
