I ran a tech company and we trained some pretty sophisticated systems to understand laser interferometry data.
We built laser interferometry systems with fibre optic networks attached and deployed then into large industrial facilities.
We quickly accumulated more data than Youtube + Facebook + Netflix.
This data was entirely objective had nothing to do with humans, and was able to determine all kinds of physical phenomena. Attracted a lot of interest.
People have no idea what AI can do, governments have no real grip of it.
Large language models are the Noddy end of the spectrum.
