We just bought four pasture raised chickens. While 1kg in Lidl costs like 2€, these babies were 2x big and cost per kg 3x more.
The oven didn't deal with this chicken well. It's nicely baked through, crispy skin, but man, the meat is stiff. It reminds me of beef way more than chicken (apart of that white somewhat bland taste). It will easily take some really long baking program and not fall apart.
I know bio meat is better allover, but the difference between pasture-raised chicken and some poor thing from the market is astonishing.👀
