Idle Thought: Been involved with family funeral matters all week.
1. Funeral ceremonies are for the living. The dead no longer exist and are certainly not "up there" wanting $10K to $30K spent for them.
2. I understand the human cultural and behavioral significance of funeral ceremonies and customs. Been going on for 300K years, at least. But in the long run they simply add to the modern-day existing stress of having lost a loved one or friend.
