I have read about it in multiple books, but my brain has decided it is not sufficiently important to remember.
Today, I was shooting complex lighting by slowly moving my camera up and down until I got the exposure I liked, locking exposure, then getting the composition I liked.
Incidentally, these are the photos most likely to need editing (if I get the composition right, which today I think I did not):
Blown sky, dark foreground, perfect hills… there’s a photo there
