i live here, but on the other side of the island... the main area of bitcoiner activity is the metro area of funchal and surrounding suburbs, which is 50km away from me via quite a number of tunnels
been looking at maybe getting some transport organised, turns out getting my licence won't be that hard and maybe 1500 euro for a reasonable little scooter, 125cc is allowed on a car licence
if you are gonna visit here you really need to have independent transport if you intend to go much further from funchal than 15km, it's pretty wild terrain, lots of steep hills everywhere
