It is hilarious to be the only research astronomer in the province. I just got cold-called by a reporter who noticed they were picking up way more radio stations than usual, and had talked to a ham radio person who said "maybe it's space weather" so they called me, the one astronomer (I study cold rocks, not space weather).
I politely pointed them to a physics prof at the *other* university (yes there are only 2 in Sask) who does indeed study auroras, hopefully she answers her phone today!
