I like the kinetic scrolling (vs scrub scrub scrub to move), but it can be too sensitive. And the trackpad configuration is in a different place depending on what DE you're using, etc, which is terrible. However I really don't like trackpads in general so if I'm spending any amount of time at all on a machine (mac or linux) I'm using a mouse.
