"Populist" has to be the most fucking useless political label I've ever seen. I was just looking up the PM of Slovakia, wondering what his politics were and they're generally left of center with trying to (but failing) to regulate grocery prices, threatening to nationalize foreign owned gas subsidiaries to lower gas prices, and making it mandatory for companies to issue notices before laying off employees. Meanwhile trump is also a "populist" despite being a straight up fascist.
