There was a time, not that many years ago, when git had not been invented and subversion was getting kind of old.
There were all sorts of tools being invented, and I decided that it was best for me to wait until there was a clear winner, and transition once, rather than spend my time changing and changing to chase things that wouldn't pan out. The successor should do pretty much everything that svn would do, and a few things much better, right?
Well, I'm still using X11 because I'm not seeing any benefits worth the cost of switching. Presumably they will appear, some day.
